1/15 – ongoing – Circus City – Director – From initial fundraising from Bristol City Council, European Green Capital and Arts Council England, through to co-programming and to delivering this considerable programme, I am an integral part of this bi-ennial festival. 2/22 – 5/22 – Coventry City of Culture – Creative Producer, The Awakening Prologue – As part of the spectacular finale weekend of this cultural programme, I worked with local company Highly Sprung alongside visiting companies Gratte Ciel and Circolombia to produce a series of workshops and performances to accompany the closing of the City of Culture Programme.
2/13 – ongoing – Glastonbury Arts Commissions – Arts Developer – I have written 4 successful bids for this commissioning project which has seen over 25 new pieces of work made for the festival over 6 years. I co-produce the production of the commissions and development of the project.
1/17 – 1/18 – Spotlight Panel Member – I was on the panel for this European showcasing initiative to select companies to represent the UK as part of Arts Council England’s International Showcasing fund. Over 50 applicants applied and were short-listed to present work or pitch ideas at 3 European circus festivals.
1/1/14 – 31/3/14– Producer – Under the Dark Moon by The Invisible Circus – Producing this Bristol Old Vic supported show in the Theatre Royal of the venue, I managed the smooth re-rehearsal and run of this sell-out show.
12/11 – 5/12 – Magna Mysteria – Project Manager – Managing this ambitious new production as part of Mayfest which involved pervasive RFID technology, performance across 4 sites over 10 days and a large amount of data management. I managed licenses, health and safety, aspects of the budget, personnel as well as sourcing sites and overseeing the marketing strategy www.magnamysteria.com
8/11 – 11/11 – Circus Futures – Production Coordinator – Assisting the overall production of this 2nd showcase of national circus arts in Bristol. I advised on the use of sites, negoted contracts with artists, facilitated the residencies and co-produced the 3 showcases in this 2 day event. www.circusfutures.org
6/09 – 6/15 – Shambala Festival – Finale Director and Kamikaze Kabaret Producer– My history with this green field music festival includes programming and producing the Kamikaze Kabaret in a beautiful Big Top in 2009 and 2010, and artistically producing an evening finale performance and pyrotechnic show in 2011 and 2015. www.shambalafestival.org
1/11- 5/11 – Bodies in Urban Spaces, Bristol – Project Manager – Working with Bristol City Council neighbourhood arts team, I managed the Bristol incarnation of this internationally successful site-responsive urban dance installation. I oversaw the marketing and PR, recruited performers and volunteers, managed the rehearsals, box office process and budget as well as securing permissions and running the weekend of outdoor performances. www.ciewdorner.at
10/10 – 12/10 – Still Image Moving (as part of InbetweenTime Festival) – Project Manager
This commissioned public art project saw performance photographer Manuel Vason working with members of the public in the outdoors. Working with the IBT team, I managed the budget and timescale liaised with stakeholders, troubleshot logistic obstacles, secured necessary permissions, managed a team of volunteers and was with the project throughout its delivery. http://www.manuelvason.com/news/?p=63
7/08 – 10/10 – The Bristol Do Festival– Producer
For 3 years I worked on a weekend of outdoor performance including circus, visual arts and live art. I undertook fundraising, commissioning and programming, oversaw the marketing and event production, and co-managed the festival team. This festival was an Inspire Mark project for London 2012 and a Without Walls Consortium partner. www.bristoldo.com
6/09 – 2/10 – Jeunes Talents Cirque Europe– Ambassador and Project Manager
I was an ambassador and project manager for this European programme for emerging contemporary circus artists. 2/07– 8/07– Roundhouse – Co-ordinator of Circus Front
I co-ordinated the delivery of this first season of contemporary circus performance in London. I managed the ancillary budget, negotiated contracts, drew up the schedule, liaised with the relevant departments and supported the impressive marketing campaign as well as assistant stage managing the actual performances.
